More than 2,000 lakes are interconnected by streams, rivers or portage trails -- all waiting to be explored. As guests of the moose, deer, timberwolves, bald eagles, black bears and other wild creatures, you will come to appreciate the area's true natural beauty and the environment we all share. It's a paddler's paradise and an angler's dream. With its varied shorelines and lake bottom structure, these lakes boast some of the most versatile fishing in the country. We'll help guide you to best spots along the way. Fish for walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, lake trout, perch, crappie, bluegill, whitefish and stream trout. Before departure, we will familiarize you with your outfitting package. We'll explain the proper use of the gear, rules and regulations of the BWCA, safety considerations and offer helpful tips for low impact camping There are no roads, no cabins, or airplanes. Just you, your canoe, the lakes, forests and creatures that inhabit them. Your Whispering Pines Wilderness Adventure awaits.
Our campsites are located along the lakeshore and each are separated trees for your seclusion. Each of the Whispering Pines Campsites have water, electric, picnic tables, barbeque grills and campfire rings and great views of Big Lake. We have a bath house with private showers, private toilet facilities and a traditional wood fired sauna to relax in. In addition, we have a great natural sand swimming beach to enjoy on warm and sunny summer days.
Nightly Rate: $40.00 for 2 people and $7.00 change for each additional person that stays on the campsite, children under 5 are our guests. 2 night minimum stay on weekends. Deposit 50%
Holidays and Festivals: A stay of 3 nights minimum required for Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Blueberry and Harvest Moon Festivals.
Weekly Rate: $250.00 for 2 people and $35.00 change for each additional person that stays on the campsite.
Cancellation Policy: We are a small resort; therefore, cancellations affect us significantly. If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, your deposit will be refunded only if we are able to re-book your campsite for the entire time you have reserved, less 10% cancellation fee or apply your deposit to a future stay within the current year, provided we receive written notice 90 days prior to your arrival date. If you must cancel with less than 90 day written notice you will be financially responsible for the entire amount of your reserved accommodation. No refunds or adjustments for inclement weather or early departures.
- One tent or pop up camper per each campsite, also there can be only four person maximum on campsite depending on the site.
- Our campsites can accommodate Tents, Pop Up Campers, Pick Up Campers, Travel trailers 20 ft or under and small RV's under 25 feet. Sorry we cannot accommodate large Campers and RV’S.
- Boats, Motors, Canoes, Kayaks, Pontoon Boat and pedal boats are available for rent.
If you decide to bring your own boat there will be a $5.00 per day docking fee.
Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal. We sell DNR approved firewood at the resort.
Pet Policy: Pets are permitted, a fee of 10.00/day or $50.00/week is charged per pet with a maximum of 2 pets per campsite. All pets must be leased when on resort property. Please clean up after your pet. You are responsible for any damaged caused by your pet. Pets’ vaccinations should be up-to-date and current and is free of ticks and fleas.
