Your family package includes:

Rates are based on 2 adults and up to 2 children under the age 8. Cabins are assigned based on availability and size of your group. Additional guests add $75.00 per week or $15 per day. Additional Children age 5 and under are our guests.
Gas for Boats is additional.
If time is a factor, enjoy 3 nights in the Norway, Evergreen or Tamarack Cabins. at $169.00/night, or $199.00/night in the White Pine, Aspen, Timberwolf or Lynx Cabins.

The Wilderness Adventure Sampler

Enjoy 7 nights in one of our cozy cabins, boat, motor, canoe. And a two hour guided introduction to Big Lake is included and our guide's "Hot Spot" Map. Stay in a cozy cabin and take day trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Package includes canoe with paddles and life jackets, day trip route planning, maps, travel permits, picnic lunch and transportation to and from canoe trip entry points.

Choose from several trips such as Native American pictographs, River and water falls, river and wildlife, river and small lakes among others.

 Spring Birding Package

Stay in a Deluxe Northwood’s Cabin and spend your days hiking wilderness trails, paddling Big Lake, the Portage River, Lake La Pond and Big Rice Lake in your search for a vast array of bird  species to add to your life list.  During this time you are likely to enjoy seeing the many Warblers that are in the peak of their migration.

 You are invited to join us in a 4 hour Pontoon Boat Birding & Wildlife tour of the Islands and Shoreline of Big Lake. In the evening take in the starlit sky and the Northern lights, and listen for the calling of the various owls, including the Saw-whet, Barred & Great Grey. Or take a night hike on the Osprey Bay Trail.

Each morning you will enjoy a Continental Breakfast, a Picnic Lunch is provided for your day trips, and each evening a Buffet Dinner will be served.

 Over 100 Species of Birds have been observed at Lodge of Whispering Pines and the Big Lake area & Trails.
